All of the Colorado ski resorts Bluebird Oxygen currently services have unveiled their opening dates for the 2024/2025 season. High-elevation in Colorado means you need Bluebird Oxygen, but it also means early season snow, and November Skiing.
Arapahoe Basin
It’s official, it’s ski season at A-Basin! A-Basin announced they will officially open Saturday November 2nd, 2024. It’s hard to beat A-Basin’s 10,780’ of elevation when it comes to early season snow. 2024-2025 Ski Season is about to begin!
Vail Mountain Resort
Vail Mountain Resort’s elevation of 8,120’ coupled with decent fall temperatures have allowed Vail’s flagship resort’s lifts to start spinning November 15, 2024. An average opening date for VMR historically speaking.
Beaver Creek Resort
Beaver Creek Resort’s elevation of 8,100’ is well situated for early season snowmaking and storms. BCMR plans to welcome guests starting November 27, 2024. That’s right BCR fans, groomers and cookies just in time for Thanksgiving!
Copper Mountain Resort
Situated at an elevation of 9,712’, Copper Mountain Resort is scheduled to open on November 8, 2024. Copper Kids, we’re just over a week out from ski season at Copper!
Breckenridge Ski Resort
Not to be outdone by its Summit County neighbor, Breckenridge’s lofty elevation of 9,600 feet, and Colorado’s late-October cold-snap means another November 8, 2024 opening date to force a tough decision for those of us at Bluebird Oxygen. Where shall we ride Friday? How about both?
Keystone Resort
Although Keystone Mountain Resort is situated at a slightly lower elevation compared to big brother Breckenridge, the 9,280′ base area of Keystone commonly kicks off the season in October. Unfortunately, an October opening date for KMR wasn’t in the cards for 2024/25. The opening date has been set for November 2nd, 2024.
Winter Park Resort
At an elevation of 9,000 feet, Winter Park Resort is scheduled to open on November 18, 2024. There’s plenty of time to get your turns in before the Thanksgiving holiday at Winter Park.
Crested Butte Mountain Resort
Crested Butte Mountain Resort, while at 9,375 feet, takes a bit longer to get good coverage due to its terrain. Once there’s a base, CBMR is one of the best places in Colorado to ski. Plan on November 27, 2024.
Aspen Mountain Resort
At an elevation of 7,945’, Aspen Mountain Resort is set to open on November 28, 2024. Not too shabby for one of our “lower” elevation markets…. Thanksgiving in Aspen sounds like a solid plan to for any family looking to maximize their holiday break!
